Environmental Statement

Hafele America Co is a distribution organization providing products and services to the Furniture and Cabinet, Architectural/Builders and Access Control industries.

Hafele America Co does not maintain production facilities in the United States, however we recognize that virtually all the activities of an organization or an individual have some impact on the environment. We are committed to reduce the impact of our own organization through implementing environmentally friendly measures which go beyond legislative requirements.

It is our goal to improve our social and environmental responsibilities by establishing and maintaining the following measures:

• Identify, measure, assess and manage the effects of our activities
• Integrate environmental objectives into relevant business decisions in a cost efficient manner.
• Minimize waste, and seek to recover as much as is economically practical and ensure the remainder is disposed of responsibly.
• Make available the resources aimed at the pursuit of improvement.
• Make aware, inform and train the employees so that each has the knowledge and ability to contribute to the achievement of our goals.
• Assess the potential impact on the environment of new activities we are planning to undertake.
• Select external partners (i.e. suppliers, contractors, service providers) who are  committed to environmental responsibility in their activities.
